Emma Woolfolk and Barnett Hawkins
Emma Woolfolk and Barnett Hawkins were married on February 4, 1883 in Caroline County, VA. Emma Woolfolk was the daughter of William and Louisa Woolfolk. Barnett Hawkins was the son of Horace and Mary (Polly) Hawkins from Caroline County,VA. Emma and Barnett had four children:

- Willie Hawkins married Fannie Turner on February 25, 1909 in Caroline County, VA. Fannie was the daughter a Willie Ann Turner. They were divorced on April 19, 1917. Fannie Turner is listed in the 1920 Baltimore, MD census living with her Uncle Thornton Ellis. Her marital status is listed as single. Fannie would later marry ?? Childs. I believe the two Fannie's are the same person, but I have not found in documentation to support this theory.

- Emma (born 9 Jun 1889)
It appears that several of their children did not live past infancy. There are two records of death for a daughter of Barnett and Emma Hawkins name Mollie Hawkins: one died at the age of 6 months on June 10, 1887 in Caroline County, VA from pluracy, the other died at the age of 1 year 1 month on June 6, 1888 as a result of Pneumonia.
In 1900, Barnett and Emma Hawkins lived in the Port Royal District, Caroline County, VA with their son Willie. They lived next door to Louisa Woodfolk and several of her children. According to the census only one of the four children Emma gave birth to is alive. Barnett and Willie worked as Saw Mill Laborers. By 1910, Barnett and Emma are still living in Caroline County, VA where Barnett is working as a Farmer. Their son, William, is living with Emma’s mother Louisa Woodfork. By 1920, Emma is a widower and is still living in Port Royal Caroline County, Va. Her mother Louisa Woodfolk (age 84) is living with her.
The 1920 census is the last information available for Emma. It is not known at this time when or where she died.
