During the course of my research, I often encounter mysteries and stumbling blocks that impede my research. After a lot of research and some good luck, I may be able to solve the mystery.  This section describes some of the mysteries I have encountered and how I resolved them.

Woolfolk/Ellis/Turner/Connection

While researching my ancestors in the census, I often noticed a family member living with a member of the Ellis or Turner family.     Also, many of my new found cousins knew of Ellis or Turner relatives but no one knew how the three families were related.  Eventually, I was able to determine how the families were connected.

Woolfolk/Shakespeare Connection
My Aunt told me her father (my grandfather) had stated his father’s family was related to the Shakespeare family; however, she did not know how the Woolfolk and Shakespeare families were related. My Aunt’s comment, a connection with a new found cousin who had a family Bible and some additional research allowed me to solve this mystery.
